About the IAS

IAS is an international sedimentological academic organization with about 2000 members from about 100 countries in the world, which was formally established in Algiers in 1952. The conference aims at gathering participants from all over the world to discuss and share the most recent advances in the broad field of sedimentology. ISCs are successfully held in Fukuoka, Japan in 2006, Mendoza, Argentina in 2010, Geneva, Switzerland in 2014 and Quebec, Canada in 2018.
